The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, urged the European Union (EU) on Monday to reach a "political agreement" among the Twenty-Seven, without allowing the veto of a few, so that Kiev can progress in its accession process to the European bloc.
"Ukraine has passed the first phase of the accession negotiations and now, shortly, we are ready to open the first round of negotiations (on the chapters for full integration)," Zelensky said at a press conference in Prague after meeting with the Czech Prime Minister, Petr Fiala.
"All that is needed is Europe's political agreement: an agreement that all of Europe must adopt and not an individual intending to manipulate all of Europe," emphasized Zelensky, without specifying whom he was referring to.
