The escalation continues despite Russia and Ukraine completing on Sunday the final stage of the largest prisoner of war exchange since the start of the Russian invasion over three years ago. This morning, drones and bombs have struck again, leaving 13 people dead and dozens injured in different regions of Ukraine after the country suffered one of the largest Russian airstrikes to date, launching 367 drones and missiles, as reported by Efe.

In the Kiev region alone, authorities reported three deaths due to a drone attack and a dozen injured due to explosions caused by airstrikes in which Russia used drones and missiles. According to Mikola Kalashnik, head of the Kiev Regional Military Administration, "unfortunately, three people died during the enemy attack last night in the Kiev region."

"Two bodies were discovered while extinguishing a fire in the Obukhiv district. Another person died in the Bucha district," added the local official in a message where he also reported ten injured in different districts of the region after a night of intense bombings. Kalashnik accompanied his message with photographs showing civilian houses in flames or reduced to rubble.

In the city of Nikolaiev, in southern Ukraine, Emergency Services reported on Sunday the death of one person in another explosion caused by a drone that hit a residential area, leaving five injured.

In the Jemelnitski region, in western Ukraine, local authorities reported the death of at least four other people in the bombings, which also caused five injuries, although the assessment of the attack's consequences there was still ongoing.

There were also three fatalities in Zhytomyr, in the west of the country, according to Emergency Services. These three victims were children, according to the source, which also reported twelve injured in that city due to Russian bombings.

In information posted on their Telegram account, Emergency Services reported being active in 30 cities and towns following what they called a "massive attack."
