Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine in recent weeks, after negotiations in Istanbul between the two countries failed to end the war that has been going on for over three years. The industrial region of Dnipropetrovsk in the east was the Russian target last night after drones, artillery, and rocket launchers caused at least one death and extensive damage following the attack on Saturday that left at least two injured.

In recent days, Moscow unleashed a wave of retaliatory bombings against Ukraine for its attack on Russian air bases.

The two countries accuse each other of delaying a significant prisoner exchange, the only concrete result of the Istanbul talks.
