Benjamin Netanyahu's office has instructed the Israeli army to install speakers throughout the Gaza Strip so that the remaining citizens can listen to the Israeli Prime Minister's speech at the United Nations General Assembly, as reported by 'Times of Israel'.

According to Channel 12 news, the army opposed the order as it would require soldiers to leave their posts and enter dangerous areas of the Strip. Since the ground offensive began in Gaza City, Hamas has threatened Israel with the lives of its hostages and even stated that it would be "a cemetery for its soldiers".

Despite the army's refusal, there are already images on social media of the speakers set up to broadcast Netanyahu's words this afternoon.

The Israeli Prime Minister flew to the United States yesterday, avoiding the airspace of Spain and France due to arrest warrants against him, and will arrive at an Assembly marked by the recognition of Palestine by several countries. He is also scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. A meeting that, according to some sources, would take place next week.

Yesterday, Donald Trump stated on Thursday that he will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank and predicted that an agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza is "quite close".
