With ceasefire negotiations stalled, the Ukraine war continues with daily attacks on both sides. However, Russia is steadily advancing, having taken nearly 5,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory and 212 localities this year, as stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. Among their targets are military and energy infrastructures, with a recent Russian attack hitting a Ukrainian thermal power plant, causing "serious damage" to the electrical equipment in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine.

Russia is advancing on multiple fronts, especially in eastern Ukraine. The Sever military group continues to establish the security zone ordered by Putin in the Ukrainian regions of Kharkiv and Sumy after expelling Ukrainian troops from the border region of Kursk. The most intense fighting is taking place in the operational zones of the Center group, in the sectors of Krasnoarmiysk (Pokrovsk) and Dnipropetrovsk.

Meanwhile, the Vostok (East) group continues its offensive in the regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia, capturing over 200 square kilometers in the last month. The Southern group is advancing in Siversk and Konstantinivka. In Pokrovsk, Russian military forces are advancing in the southern neighborhoods of the city and have surrounded the town of Rodinske to the north of the urban area.
