A fire declared at 11 in the morning this Thursday has affected the home of Real Madrid footballer Vinicius Junior, located in the exclusive urbanization of La Moraleja (Alcobendas). The fire originated in the false ceiling of the basement sauna, presumably due to an electrical malfunction, according to Emergency sources.
The flames quickly spread through the structure of the room, damaging part of the equipment and generating dense smoke that spread to the upper floors of the building.
Although the incident caused material damage, no injuries or intoxications were reported, as the player was not at home at the time of the event.
Two units of the Community of Madrid Fire Brigade arrived at the scene, managed to extinguish the fire, and subsequently took care of ventilating the rooms to evacuate the accumulated smoke.
The origin of the fire points to an electrical failure in the false ceiling of the sauna, but the exact causes will be determined after the technical inspection of the installation.
