The Red Cross has picked up the 20 hostages released by Hamas, according to the Israeli army, at the agreed point in the north of the Gaza Strip. They will also deliver the bodies of another 28.

The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas confirmed on Monday the list of the 20 hostages who are still alive and will be released according to the ceasefire signed with Israel. They are a group of men aged between 20 and 48 years old.

In exchange, Israel must release 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences for attacks and 1700 Gazans detained since the terrorist attack on 7-0.

China "celebrates" the release of Israeli hostages

China welcomed on Monday the release of Israeli hostages by the Palestinian movement Hamas, the first step in President Donald Trump's plan to end two years of war.

"China welcomes and supports all efforts that favor the return of peace and the reduction of the humanitarian crisis," said a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, during a daily press conference.

"The most urgent priority is the establishment, as soon as possible, of a complete and lasting ceasefire," he added, reiterating China's principled position in favor of a two-state solution.

The Last Five Spanish Members of the Humanitarian Flotillas to Gaza Arrive in Madrid

The last five Spanish members of the humanitarian flotillas bound for Gaza intercepted this month by Israel who remained in the country arrived on Monday morning at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport on a flight from Qatar, where they were taken from Jordan.

The group of activists arrived shortly before 9:00 a.m., and among them was Reyes Rigo, who was part of the first mission, the Global Sumud Flotilla, and who was detained for allegedly biting a prison official at Keziot prison but reached an agreement with the Prosecutor's Office to be deported to Spain in exchange for paying a fine of around 2,600 euros.

The other Spaniards who arrived in Spain on Monday were part of the second mission, intercepted on the 8th, the Freedom-Thousands Madleens Flotilla.

The EU Considers the Peace Agreement for Gaza "Historic" and Offers Support for Reconstruction

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated on Monday that the peace agreement for Gaza, scheduled to be signed today in the Egyptian seaside city of Sharm el-Sheikh, is a "historic milestone," and offered support for the reconstruction of the Palestinian enclave.

"The return of the Israeli hostages is a moment of pure joy for those families. And a moment of relief for everyone. It means that a new chapter can begin," added Von der Leyen on social media about the release of the captives by Hamas as part of that agreement.

The EU president highlighted the "full support" of the European Union for the peace plan negotiated by the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.

"The completion of the agreement, which ends the war today in Sharm el-Sheikh, will be a historic milestone. We are ready to contribute to its success with all the means at our disposal," she asserted.
