In the live broadcast, Cassif, the only Jewish member of the party with communist principles, was notably seen being dragged out of the room by security teams.

Ayman Odeh, a Palestinian and party leader, was also removed from the session.

Both were carrying banners with the text "Recognize Palestine," as confirmed by Cassif himself on the social network X.

"We did not come to interfere, but to demand justice. A true peace that will save both peoples from the land and destruction will only come with the end of the occupation and apartheid, and the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel," the politician wrote on his X profile.

"Refuse to be conquerors! Resist the cursed government!" he concluded.

After briefly halting Trump's speech with their shouts and being expelled by security teams, the American tycoon joked about the incident. "It was very efficient," he commented, eliciting laughter from other parliamentarians.

"I was expelled from the plenary session simply because I raised the simplest demand, a demand with which the entire international community agrees: recognizing a Palestinian state," Odeh wrote on X.

Accompanying his text with a photograph holding the same sign that Cassif carried, the Arab politician pointed out: "Recognize this simple reality, there are two peoples here and no one is leaving."
