With 98% of the votes counted, his party, La Libertad Avanza (LLA), obtained a resounding 40.74%, surpassing the Peronist party, which reached 31.7% nationwide.

The big surprise came in the province of Buenos Aires, the most populous and decisive district in the country, where the libertarians achieved a narrow victory that contradicted all previous polls. In that region, Diego Santilli (PRO) prevailed with 42.2% to 40.92% against the Peronist candidate Jorge Taiana, marking another blow to the historic Justicialist movement.

Milei celebrated the result with an epic message: "Today has been a historic day for Argentina. The construction of a great Argentina begins." The result strengthens the liberal government in its crusade for economic reforms and marks a profound change in the Argentine political landscape.
