The U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, was received on Monday alongside his counterparts from some of Ukraine's major European partners by President Volodymyr Zelensky in a meeting held in Kiev to explore new ways to strengthen Ukrainian air defenses, as reported by Efe.
"I want to make sure everything is working correctly, that the Ukrainian Army is receiving everything it needs, that the Patriot air defense systems and PAC-3 and PAC-2 missiles are being delivered as quickly as possible so that you can protect your critical infrastructure as winter approaches," Whitaker said, quoted by the Ukrainian presidency, during the meeting.
The U.S. Ambassador to NATO also mentioned that Ukraine, the U.S., and European countries paying for American armaments purchased by Kiev are working on the military equipment packages that Ukrainians are set to receive this month and the next through this arrangement.
Russia launches 130 drones against Ukraine
Russia attacked Ukraine last night with 130 drones, of which 31 hit 14 different unspecified locations according to the Ukrainian Air Force. In addition to the drones, Russia launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile and six S-300 anti-aircraft missiles that were not intercepted.

Several roads, production infrastructures, and equipment were damaged, said Kiper without providing further details on these damages. The Governor added that there were no casualties, as reported by Efe.
Ukraine launches 85 drones in eight Russian regions
The Russian Defense Ministry stated on Telegram that Ukraine launched 85 fixed-wing drones against targets in eight Russian regions overnight, claiming that all were intercepted and shot down. The majority of the attacks were in the Voronezh region, with 40 drones, followed by Nizhny Novgorod with 20, and Belgorod with 10.
The remaining attacks targeted the regions of Kursk, Lipetsk, Volgograd, Bashkortostan, and Saratov.
For several months, Ukraine has intensified attacks on critical Russian infrastructure, prompting Moscow to pass a bill allowing the call-up of reservists to protect these facilities. Although this legislation has not been signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, some regions have begun forming reservist units, who will undergo intensive military training and join Russian anti-aircraft defense.

Meanwhile, Sterlitamak's Administration Chief, Emil Shaimardanov, reported an explosion in the water purification workshop of the refinery. "There was a partial collapse of the workshop. Five people were working in the workshop. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties," he added.
