A failure in Cloudflare, a global content delivery network that supports websites worldwide, has caused a chain reaction of outages across the Internet. Applications like X, ChatGPT, or the popular video game League of Legends have begun experiencing issues with their services starting at 12:30 PM when the failure began.

At 12:48 AM, Cloudflare reported that it "is experiencing an internal service disruption," so "some services may be affected intermittently."

During the initial stages of the IT breakdown, the platforms were accessible and functioning intermittently. However, as the incident prolonged, they now display a warning message: "Please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com to continue" can be read when trying to access ChatGPT. In other cases like RAE, the screen shows an "internal error" message pointing to the tech company's interconnection center as the issue for not being able to access the network.

According to the incident tracking portal Downdetector, other affected platforms include the dating app Grindr or the online design company Canva. However, it is paradoxical that even the most well-known Internet outage alert monitor has been affected by the problem.

Cloudflare's outage adds to those that occurred at Redsys or Amazon less than a month ago. The company has announced that it has identified the incident and has started to recover services. Among these services are Warp, its free VPN, and Cloudflare Access, a security service.

At 2:35 PM, they posted a new alert where the company indicates that they "are working to restore different application services for their clients."

Cloudflare is a provider of numerous digital services used by large companies worldwide. In Spain, it has become more known to the public due to its clash with LaLiga following the fight against piracy, which has resulted in numerous websites using services from the American tech company being blocked during football matches.

Among its products are numerous Internet routing services (which enable connection between web pages), as well as other hosting and cybersecurity options. According to the company, it has over 295,000 paying customers, including 38% of Fortune 500 companies.
