During a press meeting in the Oval Office, the President of the United States responded to several questions focused on the Venezuelan crisis and his possible strategy towards the Caracas government.

When a journalist asked him if he ruled out the deployment of US troops to Venezuela, Trump was firm: "I don't rule that out. I don't rule anything out," he stated. The president emphasized that his priority is "dealing with Venezuela" and accused the Venezuelan government of sending "hundreds of thousands of people from prisons" to US territory, an argument he used again to justify a tougher stance on immigration and security policy.

The press also asked him if he would be willing to have a direct dialogue with President Nicolás Maduro before making any military decision. Trump stated that he would have no problem talking to the Venezuelan president: "I would probably talk to him, yes, I would talk to everyone," he said, leaving open the possibility of diplomatic contact. This exchange in the Oval Office once again brings to the forefront the US policy towards Venezuela and the possible actions that a future Trump administration could consider.
