Report documents 'Extreme Cruelty' faced by Ukrainian civilians after Russian attacks

An Amnesty International investigation revealed the "devastating impact" of Russian systematic attacks on the energy system, subjecting Ukrainians to situations of "extreme cruelty."

The organization collected testimonies from dozens of survivors enduring the harsh winter "without heating, electricity, or running water amid increasingly catastrophic humanitarian conditions."

Furthermore, the research revealed that many interviewed individuals had survived weeks with intermittent or nonexistent electricity supply during the "coldest winter since the Russian invasion began."

Russia Claims to Have Captured Another Ukrainian Settlement

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated on Tuesday that its forces had captured the settlement of Zaliznychne in the Ukrainian region of Zaporizhia, as reported by the Russian state news agency RIA.

Donetsk Refugee Kills Five People in Western Ukraine Displacement Center

A 72-year-old Ukrainian refugee from the eastern Donetsk region killed five other displaced individuals living with him in the facilities of a school in the Rivne region in northwestern Ukraine, using an axe and a hammer, as reported by the National Police of the country.

The fatal victims, two men aged 60 and 68, and three women aged 81, 78, and 56, died on the scene due to their injuries.
