On Wednesday, the Israeli government claimed to have killed the Iranian Minister of Intelligence, Esmail Jatib, in a nighttime airstrike just a day after targeting the top leadership in Tehran.

In response, Iran launched several airstrikes on Israeli territory, resulting in at least two fatalities, in an action the regime justified as retaliation for the death of their security chief, Ali Larijani, considered one of the country's most influential leaders. This strike represents one of the most significant blows by Israel against Iran in recent years.

Meanwhile, Tehran held a massive funeral in honor of Larijani and his son, along with the funeral of 84 Iranian sailors who died in an attack attributed to a U.S. submarine. Gholamreza Soleimani, leader of the Basij militia and a key figure in the regime's internal security, will also be buried.

From Israel, the Defense Minister reaffirmed the strategy to eliminate the top Iranian leaders, warning that operations to neutralize the regime's leaders will continue, amidst maximum regional tension and a growing risk of military escalation.
