According to the official Tasnim agency, stickers displaying the leader's face and direct quotes from his speeches are being distributed and placed directly on missiles that the regime claims will be fired soon at Israeli territories.
This war propaganda campaign uses specific excerpts from Sánchez's intervention at the last European Union summit in Brussels. The stickers, written in English and Farsi, quote his words: "Of course, this war is not only illegal but also inhumane," concluding the message with an explicit "thank you, Mr. President." Iranian government-affiliated media outlets, such as Press TV, have even circulated videos showing alleged soldiers carrying out this task in military facilities.
Support for Sánchez has reached the highest political level in Iran. President Masoud Pezeshkian praised what he described as the Spanish president's "responsible and ethical conduct" for opposing aggressions and human rights violations in the region. This alignment has been reinforced after Sánchez firmly denied Washington permission to use the naval bases of Rota and Morón in a possible war against Iran. This gesture has sparked a wave of sympathy in Arab and Muslim countries, where songs, memes, and videos venerating the Spanish leader as a symbol against U.S. military ambition have proliferated.
The Tasnim agency has also distributed similar propaganda linked to protests in London against U.S. attacks that resulted in the deaths of 165 people in a kindergarten. Although the practice of writing messages on projectiles is common in the region —also used by Israeli soldiers with slogans like "to Gaza with love"—, the inclusion of a Western leader in Iranian armament marks a media milestone in the current regional escalation.
