According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the attacks affected at least six communities. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that at least three men were injured in the village of Jalud after being beaten, suffering head injuries that required hospitalization. Confrontations were also reported in which some settlers were injured.
The incidents occurred in a context of increasing tension as the Israeli government continues to promote the construction of new settlements in occupied territory. The violence has escalated in parallel with the overall increase in conflict in the region. The Israeli army stated that it intervened after fires were set against structures and disturbances were recorded, although no arrests or investigations were confirmed.
Among the affected locations are Silat al Dahr and Fandaqumiya, near Jenin; Jalud and Salfit, south of Nablus; as well as rural areas of Masafer Yatta and the Jordan Valley. During the attacks, coinciding with the Eid al-Fitr holiday, homes and vehicles were set on fire, irritant gases were used, and at least five people were injured. According to the UN, dozens of Palestinians have died this year in incidents related to settlers and Israeli forces, in a context of growing instability.
