In a video broadcasted by state television, the lieutenant colonel stated that the United States is "only negotiating with itself," directly criticizing President Donald Trump's administration strategy. "The strategic power they used to talk about has turned into a strategic failure," he affirmed.
Zolfaghari went further by questioning Washington's global position: "Those who self-proclaim as a superpower would have already gotten out of this mess if they could. Don't disguise your defeat as an agreement." Additionally, he issued a challenging message by suggesting internal divisions in the US: "Have your internal conflicts reached the point of negotiating with yourselves?"
These statements come after the US administration sent a 15-point ceasefire proposal to Iran through Pakistan. However, Tehran maintains a firm stance and warns that any changes will depend solely on its conditions.
"As long as it's not our will, nothing will return to how it was before," declared the spokesperson, escalating diplomatic tension between both countries.
