Carbonell, the iconic olive oil brand of Deoleo, celebrates 160 years consolidating its leadership in Spain and projecting its international growth. The brand closed 2025 achieving its best historical market share: 11.4%, representing an increase of 1.2 points compared to the previous year. This record confirms its connection with Spanish households, where it is already present in 4.7 million homes - half a million more than the previous year - surpassing the second competitor by 3 points and establishing itself as the brand that has added the most households in the last year.

"Last year was extremely good for our brand, and we are very pleased with its performance," says Víctor Roig, Chief Spain and Italy Officer at Deoleo. "Carbonell reflects tradition, quality, and our commitment to the field... now it is up to us to maintain this brand for as long as we are here. In the last 40 years, the market has changed a lot, but we have managed to adapt without losing our essence."

Carbonell's leadership extends to all product profiles: it dominates mild oils with a 21% market share and premium categories with 22%, and has achieved a record in sales of new formats, with over 600,000 units sold of its precise dosing oil bottle in its launch year. Additionally, according to GfK, the brand is the most recognized and considered by consumers, establishing itself as an ambassador of Spanish olive oil both within and outside the country.

The solid national performance is complemented by significant international growth. Carbonell is present in 17 countries, although over 90% of its sales are still concentrated in Spain. "Our goal is to increase our presence in markets such as Mexico, Australia, Japan, and the Netherlands, where there is still significant room for growth," explains Roig. The brand has seen a 27% increase in global sales volume compared to 2024, establishing itself as the number one Spanish olive oil brand in the world.

Innovation and constant investment have been key to sustaining this growth. "We have never stopped investing in the brand," says Victoria Aceves, senior brand manager of Carbonell. The company has focused on trend-setting launches, from the spray format in 2012 to the oil bottle in 2025, which achieved a 64% unit share and over 600,000 bottles sold in its first year. Also noteworthy are the QR codes with blockchain technology implemented in 2024, which provide audited information on the traceability of the oil.

With historical market share records, presence in millions of households, and international expansion, Carbonell solidifies its position as the undisputed reference in Spanish olive oil, combining innovation, quality, and leadership, and projecting its brand into the future.
