In a public statement, Netanyahu expressed relief confirming that both Trump and the First Lady emerged unharmed from the incident, which occurred when an armed man stormed the venue and opened fire before being subdued by the U.S. Secret Service. "There is no place for violence. Neither against political leaders nor against anyone," stated the Israeli leader, emphasizing his condemnation of the attack.

The Israeli leader, considered a close ally of Trump, emphasized the importance of ensuring the security of public figures in an international context marked by increasing political tension. His remarks add to the reactions of international leaders following an event that has reignited the debate on security at high-level events in Washington.
