The young influencer Jade Kops, only 19 years old, has passed away due to a rare cancer. Social media has shown support to the content creator's family, who announced a few weeks ago that her treatment was not yielding positive results: "Instead of living, I'm surviving," she claimed.
"With great sadness and immense pride for our brave daughter and sister, we want to inform you that Jade passed away this morning at 05:50 in the presence of all of us." Kops posted in one of her last Instagram photos that "she didn't want to leave yet", and that "she still wanted to be there" with her family.
The Dutch influencer was diagnosed with a rare cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma when she was only 14 years old. Since then, she has been sharing her condition on social media and raising awareness about the disease.
In early April, the influencer posted her last photo, where she described the ordeal of the disease and the immense sorrow she felt about leaving her family:
"The complaints are increasing, and that's why I'm deteriorating rapidly. Things that used to work now require effort or don't work at all. I spend my days in bed, connected to four bags of medication. They keep me here, but also show how close the end is. Every night, I'm afraid of not waking up the next morning. I'm living in the biggest nightmare I could ever imagine."
Addressing her illness directly, she said the following:
"Instead of making plans, I let it go. I'm intensely tired of you, in a way I can't even explain. I'm tired of giving in, adjusting, and moving forward when everything seems to be falling apart. It's just too heavy."
Ultimately, despite her declaration to continue living with her family, she did not manage to overcome the disease.
