Disney was forced to cancel a cruise that was set to depart from Singapore on May 7 due to a technical issue. Passengers, who had boarded the Disney Adventure ship the night before, were informed that the voyage had been canceled and they needed to disembark the cruise liner.

The trip was part of a series of short routes offered by the company. It was a cruise ship with a capacity for 6,000 passengers and was scheduled to depart from Marina Bay on May 7.

"We sincerely regret to inform you that we will not be able to carry out your experience on the Disney Adventure from May 7 to 11, 2026, as planned," the company stated in a release, as reported by Cruise Industry News. "We understand how upsetting and disappointing this news is, and we know this is not the experience you were expecting," the statement continued.

"The safety and comfort of our guests are always our top priority," Disney added in their statement.

As compensation, passengers will receive a full refund of the cruise and all unused services, including beverage and internet packages. Additionally, Disney will offer a 50% discount for a future cruise and a one-night stay at the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach hotel.

The company will also cover any expenses related to flight changes and will provide up to $500 per cabin for unforeseen additional expenses.
