The President of the Iranian Parliament, Mohamad Baqer Qalibaf, stated that the country's armed forces are ready to teach "a lesson to any aggression" after Donald Trump mentioned that the ceasefire is in critical condition.

"There is no alternative but to accept the rights of the Iranian people as outlined in the 14-point proposal. Any other approach will be fruitless and will result in failure after failure," he said.

"Our armed forces are ready to respond and deliver a lesson to any aggression," he stated, adding that the country is prepared for any eventuality. "They will be surprised," he added.

Amid this new escalation of tensions, oil prices rose, and stock markets showed indecision due to the lack of agreement between Washington and Tehran to permanently end the conflict in the Middle East and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Army announced on Tuesday that it is preparing a new attack against the Shiite group Hezbollah in the city of Sahmer in southeastern Lebanon, amidst ongoing ceasefire violations.

Hezbollah Leader Calls for "Indirect" Dialogue with Israel Ahead of New Meeting

The leader of the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, called for the start of "indirect" negotiations with Israel and stated that they will continue to defend themselves on the battlefield, two days before a new round of direct dialogue between the two countries.

"We call for opting for indirect negotiations where the strong cards are in the hands of the Lebanese negotiator and to withdraw from direct negotiations, which only benefit Israel and result in gratuitous concessions from the Lebanese authorities," he said in an open letter to the leadership of his movement.

"We will not submit or surrender, and we will continue to defend Lebanon and its people no matter how much time passes and how great the sacrifices are, which are less than the price of surrender. The enemy will eventually yield, sooner or later," the Shiite cleric concluded.

Iran Issues Ultimatum to US to Accept Its Peace Plan

The chief Iranian negotiator issued an ultimatum to the United States on Tuesday to accept the conditions of Tehran's 14-point peace plan to end the war in the Middle East.

"There is no alternative but to accept the rights of the Iranian people as outlined in the 14-point proposal. Any other approach will be fruitless and will result in failure after failure," wrote Mohamad Bagher Ghalibaf.

The President of the Iranian Parliament also added that the longer Washington delays in accepting the proposal, "the more American taxpayers will have to pay."
