Melania, who served as the emcee and introduced the president, took the opportunity to promote the Fostering the Future Act, a legislative proposal aimed at expanding professional and educational opportunities for children in foster care.

The initiative advocated by the First Lady includes the creation of a digital portal designed to connect youth with key resources, as well as increasing access to scholarships and direct assistance to facilitate their transition to adulthood. Following his wife's speech, President Trump took the stage and candidly admitted that he "hates" speaking after her. According to the president, Melania's eloquence and success make him sound "bland" in front of the audience. During his speech, Trump praised his spouse's career, recalling that she had starred in a movie that reached number one in both theaters and streaming platforms.

However, the most talked-about moment of the day occurred when the president decided to add a personal comment about the power dynamics in his household. "But remember: there's only room for one star in the family, so I'll have to get rid of her", Trump joked. Although this statement is in line with his usual brash humor, the press noted that not everyone was pleased with the comment, indicating that his sarcasm is sometimes only suitable for his closest followers.

In the political and economic realm, Trump also used the event to boast about historical highs in the stock market and the success of his trade negotiations with China, highlighting record purchases of soybeans and Boeing aircraft. Finally, he sent a message of reassurance regarding military tensions, stating that the war with Iran "will end very quickly" and that this will lead to a drastic drop in oil prices.
