The entertainment technology company Galaxy Corporation has organized an unprecedented event in Seoul titled 'MACH33: Fashion Show with Physical AI', with the firm aim of imagining and projecting a future where humans and robots coexist in harmony. The fashion show, held on Thursday, May 28 at the Galaxy Robot Park, was not a conventional technological exhibition.
On the runway, robots and human models walked together wearing matching outfits and coordinated looks, blurring the boundaries between creator and creation. The staging surprised attendees when several robots initially appeared covered with capes; then, female models removed these garments to reveal avant-garde designs, while other human models in the same attire followed to pose together.
Beyond aesthetics, the event stood out for its technical complexity. The robots and models performed a synchronized choreography on the runway, achieving a perfect symbiosis that mixed fashion, cutting-edge robotics, and pure spectacle. This initiative aims to suggest a clear direction for the emerging era of physical artificial intelligence.
For the organizers, this fashion show represents a statement of intentions about the role of technology in our society. Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation, shared his vision on the evolution of clothing: "I believe that someday, people will wear fashion inspired by robots and, conversely, robots will wear robotic fashion inspired by humans." Under this premise, the executive emphasized the importance of physical presence in these types of proposals:
"That's why we decided to organize a fashion show with AI robots in person because we hope to help create that world someday." The company insists that the goal is not to present machines as replacements for human labor force, but as companions capable of sharing emotions and philosophy. With this fashion show, Seoul once again positions itself at the forefront of innovation, demonstrating that artificial intelligence not only resides in programming codes but is already ready to walk the runway in real life.
