The United States bombed Iran on Wednesday after blaming the Islamic Republic for the downing of a U.S. military helicopter. Iran responded with attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, threatening to derail talks to end the U.S. and Israel war against Iran.

Bahrain and Kuwait fired anti-aircraft defenses in response to the Iranian attack. Jordan also reported that it shot down five missiles launched by Iran at an airbase hosting U.S. forces.

The downing of the Apache attack helicopter and the U.S. military attacks further strained the ceasefire, a day after Iran and Israel exchanged fire for the first time since the truce took effect. Iranian state television reported on Tuesday that Israeli attacks killed two members of the country's air defense units.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated on Wednesday that Iran had taken too long to negotiate an agreement and now "will have to pay the price," while Tehran announced it will reassess its diplomatic commitment with Washington following the previous night's crossfire attacks.

Erdogan says Israel's attacks on Syria and Lebanon also threaten Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday that Israel's attacks on Syria and Lebanon have reached a point where they also pose a threat to Turkey. He added that Israeli "aggression" poses a danger to the world and must be stopped, as reported by Reuters.

Turkey, a NATO member, has been one of the harshest critics of Israeli offensives against Iran, Gaza, and Lebanon, arguing that Israel is the main obstacle to regional peace. Ankara has suspended all trade with Israel and has called for measures against the country in international courts.

"The attacks by (Israeli Prime Minister) Benjamin Netanyahu and his network of assassins against Lebanon and Syria have brought the situation to a point where it also threatens Turkey," Erdogan declared to lawmakers of his ruling party, the AKP, in Parliament. He added that Ankara's security is closely linked to that of its two neighboring countries.

Erdogan also accused Israel of leading a "covert effort" to destabilize African countries and the Mediterranean region, fueling "the fire of discord" on the ethnically divided island of Cyprus.

"These small entities, whose ambitions far exceed their size, have boarded the ship of Israel's intrigues, taken on the role of subcontractors of Zionism, and pursue some fantasies in the eastern Mediterranean," he stated, without providing further details.

US and allies condemn Iran's "lethal plots" in Europe, North America, and Australia

The United States, the United Kingdom, several European allies, and other countries condemned the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), its Intelligence Organization, the Quds Force, and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security for their alleged involvement in "lethal plots" and other activities in Europe, North America, and Australia, according to a joint statement released on Wednesday, as reported by Reuters.

Netanyahu says Erdogan "is the last one who can give moral lessons to Israel"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Wednesday that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan "is the last one who can give moral lessons to the State of Israel," after Erdogan claimed that Israel's attacks in the region endanger the world, as reported by Efe.

"The anti-Semitic dictator Erdogan, who is committing genocide against the Kurds, supports the terrorist organization Hamas, oppresses his own people, and imprisons his political rivals, is the last one who can give moral lessons to the State of Israel," a statement issued by the president's office quoted.

Netanyahu reiterated the slogan that the Israeli army is the "most moral in the world" and stated that he will continue to act against Iran and its allied groups, "which threaten the Middle East and the entire world."

The Israeli leader responded to Erdogan's statements on Wednesday, where he claimed that Israel's attacks in Syria and Lebanon also threaten Turkey, as reported by The Times of Israel from Erdogan's speech in the Turkish parliament.

There, the Turkish leader also warned against "following the adventures" led by Israel to destabilize the Mediterranean.

Trump: Iran took too long to negotiate an agreement and will now face the consequences

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that Iran has taken too long to negotiate an agreement and now "will have to face the consequences."

"Iran only talks and does not act. The bully of the Middle East is DEAD! They have taken too long to negotiate an agreement that would have greatly benefited them, now they will have to face the consequences!" Trump said on his social media platform, Truth Social, after Iran announced it will review the continuation of negotiations following the recent hostilities.

Trump says he is close to ordering new attacks: "Tehran will pay the price"

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that Iran had taken too long to negotiate an agreement and now "will have to pay the price," while Tehran announced it will reassess its diplomatic commitment with Washington following the previous night's crossfire attacks.

Iran launched missile and drone attacks against U.S. bases in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain in retaliation for U.S. airstrikes against Iranian targets around the Strait of Hormuz.

The exchange of attacks, which occurred after Trump claimed Iran had shot down a U.S. Apache helicopter near the strait, represents one of the most significant escalations since Washington and Tehran agreed to a ceasefire in April.

The Israeli Army also targeted other surrounding localities, including Qalila, Mansouri, and Zibqin, as well as the city of Majdal Zoun, which suffered a fifth airstrike, according to ANN.

Trump's participation in the upcoming NATO summit in Turkey is "valuable," says Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump will participate in the NATO summit in Turkey in July, describing the U.S. president's presence as "valuable for the stability of the Alliance."

"The recent announcement of the participation of the U.S. President (Donald) Trump in the summit is a valuable step for the stability of the Alliance," declared the Turkish head of state before his party's lawmakers in Parliament.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced last week that Donald Trump would participate "in person" in the NATO summit, which will bring together the 32 member countries of the Atlantic Alliance in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on July 7 and 8.

The U.S. president has expressed his criticism of NATO on multiple occasions and remains upset since the Europeans refused to commit alongside him in the war he launched with Israel against Iran.

Erdogan says Israel's attacks in Syria and Lebanon also threaten Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday that Israel's attacks in Syria and Lebanon have reached a point where they also threaten Turkey, adding that Israeli "aggression" poses a danger to the world and must be stopped.

In an address to lawmakers in Parliament, Erdogan also pointed out that there are initiatives, led by Israel, to destabilize the Mediterranean region, warning that "no one should seek adventures" or join the "ship of Israeli evil."

He also warned that Ankara will respond clearly and decisively to any action that violates the rights of Turks and Turkish Cypriots.
