An Ukrainian drone attack leaves at least four dead and around thirty injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on the annexed Crimea peninsula, as reported by local authorities.

"Unfortunately, as a result of enemy drone attacks on the Kerch peninsula (eastern part of Crimea), there are casualties among the civilian population. According to the information we have at the moment, four people have died and 28 have been injured," posted Sergei Aksyonov, Crimean leader, on social media. He added that emergency services have arrived at the site of the attack, where the 18-kilometer bridge connecting Crimea to mainland Russia is located.

According to the Telegram channel Astra, Ukrainian drones hit a refinery in the port of Kerch, where a fire broke out. Additionally, drone fragments also hit a residential building.

Furthermore, one person has died and another has been injured this Sunday in a drone attack on a ferry heading to Crimea, as reported by authorities in the Russian region of Krasnodar, who also reported a fire at an oil terminal. The attack forced authorities to suspend maritime transportation in the Kerch Strait and also halt car and train traffic on the Crimean bridge.

Ukrainian sources also report attacks on the Russian port of Kavkaz, located on the other side of the strait, as well as a military garrison. As an alternative, authorities suggest interested parties travel by road from the Russian regions of Rostov through the land corridor via southern Donbass, Zaporizhia, and Kherson.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, their anti-aircraft defenses shot down 239 Ukrainian drones in eight regions of the country and the annexed Crimea overnight. The war report specifies that Ukrainians attacked the border regions of Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod, the southern regions of Rostov, Krasnodar, and Adygea, as well as Astrakhan and Oryol. The enemy drones also targeted objectives in Crimea and the Black and Azov Seas.

The issue is that the Ukrainian army has been trying for weeks to isolate the peninsula annexed by Russia in 2014 by constantly bombing all roads leading to Crimea. According to experts, Ukrainian drones have destroyed hundreds of tanker trucks and cargo, making these roads practically impassable.

Local media points out that Ukraine is successfully sabotaging the summer season in Crimea, which could result in the loss of several million tourists.

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has informed about the events on social media:

On the other hand, Russia attacked Ukraine last night with four missiles, two of them Kinzhal type, and 105 drones, of which 96 were neutralized, according to the report published by the Ukrainian Air Force on Sunday.

"On the night of June 21 (from 6:00 p.m. on June 20), the enemy attacked with two Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region and two Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (launch area: airspace of the Ryazan region)," details the report.

The drones, including unmanned aircraft of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and replica devices Parody, among others, took off from the Russian regions of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Milerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and from the occupied Crimea.

According to preliminary data, a total of 96 drones were shot down or neutralized through electronic warfare methods over northern, southern, eastern, and central Ukraine, as stated by the Air Force. "There were recorded impacts in six locations (missile strikes) and six attack drones, as well as the fall of fragments in five locations. Information on the two aeroballistic missiles is being clarified," concludes the report.

On the other hand, authorities in the central Ukrainian region of Poltava reported the death of two people - one whose body was found under the rubble and another who died in the hospital - as a result of a drone attack that occurred on Saturday afternoon against an industrial area.

Additionally, 13 people were injured, including six minors, while the attack also caused significant material damage and disrupted the power supply, which technicians are still working to restore.
