The offensive comes after President Donald Trump announced an intensification of bombings, in a context of increasing tension in the Middle East.

While military operations continue, diplomatic efforts to restore a ceasefire remain stalled. Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni traveled to Pakistan, a country attempting to mediate between the parties, although no progress is currently seen in halting the conflict.

The dispute has shifted to the Straits of Hormuz, a strategic passage through which nearly a fifth of the world's traded oil and natural gas flows. Attacks on civilian infrastructure and vessels have heightened uncertainty in the region.

During the past hours, Iran activated its air defenses near Tehran and attacked a tanker in the strait, while anti-aircraft alarms sounded in Bahrain and Kuwait. The military escalation also impacted international markets. The price of crude oil surpassed $92 per barrel, driving up energy costs and raising concerns about global supply.
