Ridi was showing his nephew the damages suffered by his property when the settler appeared and accused them of "causing trouble." The exchange of words escalated until Ridi called him a "terrorist settler."
The Palestinian-American citizen explained that he had come from the United States and found his property completely destroyed. He recounted that he had built much of what is now destroyed with his own hands.
The situation escalated until the arrival of the Israeli army, whose troops intervened to dissuade the settler and prevent the confrontation from escalating further.
Visibly outraged, Ridi reproached the man for his attitude and defended his right to stay in his home. "Shameful terrorist, he comes to tell me to leave my house," he stated during the argument.
The incident reflects the growing tension between Palestinians and Israeli settlers in different areas of the West Bank.
