The two shipwreck survivors, aged 52 and 32, were aboard a fishing boat when it sank. Stranded in the middle of the ocean, they managed to stay afloat thanks to a portable cooler, which they clung to for several days while waiting to be located.

The situation lasted for five days, under particularly challenging conditions due to the distance from the coast. Eventually, the Mexican Navy located the two men and successfully rescued them alive, putting an end to their dangerous odyssey at sea.

The case has left one of those unforgettable stories due to the decisive element for the survival of the two fishermen: a simple portable cooler.

And, above all, for a detail that allows closing the story with a smile: thankfully, unlike in a well-known movie, there was enough room for both in the cooler.
