According to the police statement, the incident took place on Saturday night. The 16-year-old, a resident of the Avigail settlement, allegedly struck the man from behind with a wooden stick, while his 17-year-old companion, a resident of Jerusalem, recorded the scene on his mobile phone.

The footage, disseminated by the Palestinian Quds News Network, shows the man, who uses crutches and has his right leg amputated, being hit while trying to pick up one of his crutches.

The victim has been identified as Said al Omur. According to the Palestinian network, he lost his leg last year after being shot by an Israeli settler.

The Police reported that the minor accused of the assault remains in custody and will appear before a judge, while his alleged accomplice has been placed under house arrest with restrictive conditions. The authorities also seized a vehicle that, according to the statement, was being driven without a license.

This incident occurs in a context of violence in the West Bank, where human rights organizations denounce attacks by settlers against the Palestinian population.
