The Los Angeles federal agents faced an unusual raid in downtown on September 10th. They found over 42 kilos of fentanyl, seven of cocaine, one of heroin, and even a baby alligator, as reported by TMZ. Marvin Angelito, 27 years old, and Susan González, 26, a couple residing in a luxury apartment complex, were arrested and charged with drug possession with intent to distribute. Neither has pleaded guilty nor innocent.
When the agents entered the residence, they found the couple asleep. Therefore, they sent a police dog to inspect the premises; however, after being exposed to fentanyl in the environment, the animal became disoriented and eventually passed out. To revive it, the officers had to urgently administer Narcan, an antagonist drug used to counteract opioid overdoses.
During the search, authorities also seized an AR-15 assault rifle, a .50 caliber Desert Eagle pistolgold-plated, and a radio signal jammer. They also discovered laboratory equipment, such as beakers, mixers, stirrers, blowtorches, and a hydraulic press.
Both could face life imprisonment, although González is out on bail of $15,000. Both will testify on October 2nd and 9th.
