"Zelenskiy is not helping much. I think he doesn't want to stop it. But I want people not to die," Trump said when asked about his efforts to end the conflict.

The U.S. President went further by suggesting that someone else should negotiate on behalf of Ukraine. "I think it's time for someone else to negotiate on behalf of Ukraine," he stated, before insisting that Zelenskiy should have resolved the war long ago.

Trump also confirmed that the United States continues to share intelligence information with Kiev, following reports of Ukrainian difficulties in receiving early warnings of new Russian attacks.

"We share intelligence information. We share a lot. We have given a lot to Ukraine," stated the President, reproaching Kiev for not providing anything in return.

"We have given them hundreds of billions of dollars. I gave them the Javelin missiles when they were defeated. It was me," he added, comparing his policy to that of Barack Obama.

These statements come amid controversy over Washington's strategy to end the war and its relationship with Moscow. Trump, who claims to want to stop the conflict, maintains pressure on Zelenskiy while defending his own handling of military aid to Ukraine.
