There are landscapes that seem like they are from a fairy tale and yet are much closer than we imagine. In the province of Ávila, there is a private island with a castle, small hidden coves, and its own pier. It is a truly unique corner that has just gone up for sale. However, it is not accessible for most budgets.

Private Island with Castle for Sale for 3.25 Million Euros in Ávila

The place we are talking about is Isla Centinela, also known as Isla de El Burguillo, as it is located in the reservoir of the same name. Located in the municipality of El Barraco, about 80 kilometers from Madrid, it covers an area of over 10,000 square meters and is for sale for 3.25 million euros.

Its main attraction is a four-story castle connected by an elevator, with a built area of around 1,000 square meters. Built in 1923 on an old watchtower, it combines the aesthetics of a fortress with the comforts of a luxury residence.

Inside, it houses seven exterior suites, with private bathrooms and fireplaces, as well as spacious living areas, kitchen, and garage. It also includes a pavilion for events that could be adapted to create four additional bedrooms.

Isla Centinela has its own coves and pier

Beyond its castle, Isla Centinela stands out for its natural environment. Surrounded by water and vegetation, it has several private coves that allow you to enjoy the reservoir with a high level of privacy. Its shores offer spots to admire the landscape, relax by the water, or engage in water activities.

The property also has a private pier, which is the main access point when the water level allows the island to be separated from the mainland. However, when the reservoir level drops enough, it is possible to reach it by car. Additionally, the property considers the possibility of building a helipad.

Furthermore, it has energy self-sufficiency. It has solar panels, backup electric generators, and its own water purification and filtration systems, features that enhance its independent character.
